HELP! How do I get the drivers side 3rd coil pack bolt out??

Guys,
I decided today was the day to change my spark plugs, it went well except for the 3rd coil pack bolt on the drivers side. How in the he!! have you guys gotten this thing out? It took me almost 2 1/2 hours to change the other 7 plugs. But, the 3rd one on the driver's side is still in there. I bought a set of 1/4" deep sockets yesterday, because I didn't have a 7mm. The fuel pressure regulator is just in the right place to where I can't get the socket on the bolt and loosen it. I tried all sorts of combinations with extensions and a swivel with no luck. I guess I'll have to get a smaller 7mm socket....

What should I do????

your going to need a short 7mm socket with a swivel head ratchet to make it easier.. if you dont have that you can use a 7mm open end wrench will work too..

as said you need a craftsman (or other) 7mm SHORT swival SOCKET,
not a 7mm and a 1/4 inch universal (although with a lot of paintence that will work too)

It's a bitch a first, but once you do it 10 or 20 times it's like cake

GOOD LUCK

Slaken off and move fuel rail out of the way.
It gives better access to get coil out too.

disconnect battery & no smoking as you will spill a little gas.

all you needs

is the swivel socket, or just a 7mm wrench. Unscrew the screw till it's loose, and leave in loose. reach around the fuel rail like you are gonna grab onto it, instead go right over and grab the coil pack and pull it up. Sneaky little trick i learned. Should take 5 minutes tops.

I fussed with that one for a while - then I went and got a 1/4 drive 7mm swivel socket - and I also ground the socket down a bit - pretty easy after that. I did a search on here first before changing plugs - and noted where some said they didnt need the swivel socket - but it sure made it easier for me. The only thing I removed was the power steering resevoir for alittle extra room and I took off the injector connections - nothing else.
