How do you remove dealer name decals??

What is the best way to take off the dealer name decals, the sticker kind, not the hard metal ones. In case this doesn't make sense, I'm talking about where the dealer has there name plastered under the F-150 decal on the back of the tailgate. I can't stand the look of it and I desperately want to get rid of it without harming the paint on the truck.

If it is the sticker with individual lettering, then use your fingernail to peel it up. If not, then use a hair dfryer that blows very hot air or a heat gun. Be careful if yoiu use a heat gun... must stay away from the paint, plastic, and F-150 SVT logo so they do not melt or discolor. Afterward, use some wax in that area to clean up the left over residue if any at all.
DO NOT USE A RAZOR BLADE!!

You could try heating the emblem with a heat gun to loosen the adhesive & they gently pull it off. That's what I did with mine & there was no harm to the paint.Hope this helps.

I'll try with my fingernail first and see if that'll get it. If not, I'll pull out the hairdryer. Thanks for the info though, I can't stand those decals.

Thanks guys

I like the look on the sales persons face when I start peeling it off while I am at the store.
When they ask why, I tell them I will leave it on if they will pay me to advertise for them.

When negotiating for the best price and or added options i have them remove all dealer addvertising including the license plate bracket if that has the dealer name on it.

glad there was nothing on my lightning.
