Are the lower pulleys different from 99-00 to 01 and up?

Hey guys,
Anyone know if the JLP 6# lower pulley off of a 2002 Lightning will fit on a 1999 or 2000 Lightning?

Thanks, Jason

If its a solid piece pulley you may need an adapter to fit it correctly.

Just went through this a few weeks back, presently overseas so no pulley close at hand for a reminder. As I recall, the stock balancer for the 2001-up have a deeper recess for the blower pulley than the 99 & 00, but could have this reversed.

Do know that the 99 & 00 also have a larger center mandrel in center of the balancer to center the blower pulley than the 01-up. The early generation aftermarket blower pulleys are year specific and will not interchange. Later model pulleys have a spacer that fits behind the blower pulley for one application and it is not needed for the other.

The short answer is no, it will not fit unless you buy a 01 up balancer as I did so I could use later model (hand-me-down) pulley I already owned on my second L which is a 99. The balancer was cheaper than buying another pulley and gave me more opportunities for buying other used pulleys.
