Well guys, I got sick of hearing which color was the fastest. So I went over to a piant dealer (Dunn Edwards) & asked for their "expert" advice on the matter of what color would acuallt be faster. My logic would be what ever color is the "lightest" would be the fastest. I figured that since Black (my truck color) had the highest #'s from Ford it had to be the fastest of the bunch becuz that is what Ford wanted to make - a fast truck. Well to my suprise black acutally is the fastest!!! It weighs less. Think of it like this, black is devoid of any & all color so that means it weighs less than the rest. When we weighed the white..... you guessed it, it was the heaviest of the four (it has ALL the colors in it). Four you saw, ya we also weighed the silver, it was third heaviest due to the metal it in the give it that silvery color, then 2nd lighest color was red. Its to bad I left the sheet @ the store that had the exact weights on it or I would post them. Well I hope that this ends the my color is the fastest, I have just proven sceintifically <sp?> that Black is the fastest (that is why ford made more Black one's than any other).

Can't say I've ever seen an Angel riding a Lightning Bolt...but I wouldn't be opposed. I have a vivid imagination. Got any pictures of that Angel your referring to riding that Lightning Bolt Christy?

ofcourse white is the heaviest. i knew that. I called svt and they told me that white have 5 more hp than black or red to make up for the difference in wieght.The 5 hp makes more than enough hp for the 1.5897456123548796541231177521448 lb difference. DUH LOL LOL

Pretty good logic when it comes to colors of light. The logic is hampered when we talk about paint... this involves reflected light rather than the color of light itself. Paint must have a pigment to REFLECT the light.

A red truck would have the correct pigment to absorb all colors except red, and would reflect the red light. Black is an abscence of light... therefore additional pigments must be added to reduce the reflection of all colors. More pigments, more weight. Then we must add the additional weight of all those absorbed light particles.

I agree with you concerning the heavier metalllic particles in the paint.

Then, scientifically, Silver would be the slowest....

Black would be a little faster...

Red a little faster yet...

White is soooo fast that Ford decided to only make it available to VERY responsible drivers, to prevent a bad reputation on the vehicle...

No I don't know how Badass managed to get one. Must have had his grand mother go buy it for him! Huh oh, bet that winds him up as much as a grey grille !

 

WOW , here i am trying to scam a way where white is the fastest and i get bashed ------ouch.

 

DAMMIT, if that is the case, that information should strike fear into the hearts of law enforcement allllll over Colorado to know that I qualify as one of the responsible drivers, what does that leave for the alternative? LOL J/K
