Has anybody received a copy of the new SVT Enthusiast magazine (Volume 2, Issue 2) with a picture of a green Contour on it from SVT? I've seen them for sale on E-Bay recently and I thought all SVT owners were supposed to be mailed a copy.

I have not received mine, although I should call SVT and tell them that I moved.... Shouldn't Ford publish that stuff online also?

 

I have not recieved it either. It must be with the mythical certificates SVT claims we will all get.

I have tried and supposedly have subscibed to SVT ENTHUSIAST many times and still havent recieved one . My dealer was kind enough back in dec. of last year to give me the first edition along with the calender of all svt vechicles ever built. it is awesome . Do any of you have one? Also do any of you have the svt lightning brochure? I have seen them on ebay but my dealer told me they did not make one.

I don't know if I'd call it a brochure, but I did get a two page spec sheet that has engine, suspension, performance, etc. information on it from the dealer. It's the same one that I've seen posted on-line.

Your dealer should have given you at least one Lightning brochure when you bought your truck. If he is an SVT dealer, he received Lightning brochures. They are very nice pieces, by the way. Mine has 16 Lightning specific pages, counting the covers. If you can't get one from your dealer, you may be able to order one through SVT.

By joining the NLOC you can also get the full color two-page spec sheet, which is also very nice.

My dealer gave me a [i]video[i/] of all the current model year SVT vehicles. Guess it pays to pay 3995 over sticker. Wasn't even dvd...

i have asked svt MANY times to send me a brochure, i feel i am talking to a mirror. they dont seem to care about anybody. they just rush me off the phone.i feel i bought a very limited vechicle, spent 30k , i should at leat be givin the specific brochures on it.

What kind of excuse does your dealer give you for not providing you with a brochure? It's really his responsibility to see that you get one. He's the one who cashed your $30,000 check and he had a brochure in his desk drawer when he did it.

You might try writing a nice letter to SVT and copying your dealer and Ford customer relations. Just respectfully explain that your dealer failed to give you a brochure after repeated requests and that you have also requested one from SVT via telephone to no avail. Putting it into writing might help and copying your dealer and Ford Customer Relations will put some gentle pressure on them to do the right thing.

Bad news is that SVT is getting very low on the '99 Lightning literature. :-/ The 2000 information should be very similar and is due for publication in the middle of Jan.
