Praise for JDM

I want to thank the crew of JDM for turning an unpleasant experience into a success story. I pushed my stock block too far running 21# of boost with the MP blower. It let go during a highway roll on contest and I had it flatbedded to JDM on a saturday night unannounced after the Atco NMRA race. The crew was enjoying a shrimp boil, but welcomed me to join them and took in my project knowing they had a huge volume of work to get out.
Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, I went to pick up my new beast. New JDM long block with all the goodies to go with my previously purchased MP blower. Everything looked and sounded great. I left with a big smile, even though my wallet was lighter. It made 510/580 on the mild break in tune.
I got 1000 miles on it and had it back today to recheck and dyno tune it. Jim worked his magic and I left with 537/608 on the street tune(pump gas). This was in spite of horrendous humidity about 100%. I am told the numbers will be better in dry air even after correction.
I will run at JDM day on the race tune and Jim has offered graciously to drive it on a shake down run for safety as it has not been dyno'd on the race tune. Can't wait for that day!
Just want everyone to Know that some jobs are worth what you pay for them. My experience has been great and they have another satisfied customer, soon to be joining the ranks of daily driven 10 sec Lightnings.
Jim

Jim,

I am glad to know your happy with the new combination. The weather surely wasnt ideal for making numbers but the truck still pumped it out! Also I am glad to hear that you made it home safely with all this rain we have been having, I know the roads are a mess. The truck definatley has the potential to run a kick A$$ time. The fridge went 10.99 with 560 and change at the tires in some warm weather. I have no doubt that your truck will run strong on JDM day, even if you dont get the 10 right away it will happen just a matter of making the right adjustments. It was good to see you again and Ill definatley see you next friday for JDM Day!

P.S. be sure to make it to the track on fumes so you can run straight race fuel for the race tune. To anyone else the pumps will be open at the track JDM Day so I believe 100,104,110, and 116 will be on tap. For those who will be running C16 maybe make arrangements with us at JDM or somewhere else. I may make a trip to VP racing fuels in Delaware to pick some up as I think we only have a 55 gallon drum in the shop.

I have liked JR from the day I started to bother him!!

I am still trying to convince the wifey that if I rebuild my entire motor including cams I will get 25+ mpg!! She totally doesn't believe me! LOL!

Glad to hear your L is back running! I am tempted to just blow my engine so I have to have it rebuilt, but knowing AMY she will tell me, oh well, sucks to be me and make me drive my beater! LOL

congrats Jim,
Hopefully my truck will make numbers like yours when the bugs are worked out, and I can come to JDM Day.
