Who the hell's lightning makes peak hp at 5000rpm?

What do you have...a Diesel?

Peak hp on a Lightning is approx. 4700 to 4900. Look at your graphs again.

I guess for s***'s and giggles, I'll continue to jump up and down on my soapbox.

There is a reason exhaust don't show large changes on L's. Its a Constant Volume Supercharger. Loop up how they work, and you will understand.

Naturally aspirated and cetrifugally blown and turbo'd cars all make real performance gains when fitted with a nice exhaust. CV blown cars do not. Its physics guys, just physics.

Exactly. Which is why 20 h.p. is about it.Freer flowing cats and the catback are the most gains.Your looking at 15-16 h.p. from those 2 mods ..at least from the dyno tests, I've seen. magnaflow's cat-back on a lightning showed 16 h.p. just from their cat-back alone..although I always subtract 20% from any manufacturers claims.Even Bassani's dyno #'s were like 23 h.p. from their complete engine back system.Like 99whitelite said..the exhaust "scavaging" just doesn't apply to the blown engines like they do to a N/A motor. Just eliminate the obstructions(sharp bends, casting flashings and reduced openings) and you free up some ponies.
