Question Northwestern Canada

Hey guys, just though I'd try and ask if anyone is here from Northwestern Canada. I will be driving through there around Tuesday, the 4th of January if the world does not black out or if things do not blow up. Amazing how people can "Lose" so many explosives. And that is just what is PRINTED! Any how, be safe, be merry, happy new millenium, or enw year for the techgeeks. No (offense intended)

I have Wintermaster studded 235/75R17 tires. I am also going to have chains all the way around when needed, and cables that are for less severe conditions. I think I'll be heading south towards Seatle before I get to Edmonton. I have driven the Alcan before, just not in the winter. Perhaps through Jasper national forest.

Do the gas stations that are run by mom & pop stay open in the winter?

I'd like to meet up with you guys, but I have to make it to Las Vegas as soon as I can to get an apertment, furniture, and register for school. Maybe on the way back during the early summer?
