Hey Justen,

Rob here, I am a friend of Spiro's.

I too have the Downs Ford intake and it is just like Sals. I paid $116.00 for it and it works great.

The factory boost gauge now goes way past 10 psi, it is more like 13. The install was only 15-20 minutes. The sound the supercharger makes now is awesome. Good Luck!!

Hey Rob what kind of air filter do they use? Did you notice any power gain? I need to get a filter and was thinking about getting the Downs Ford one. Scott

Hey Scott,

They use a HUGE K&N Cone Filter.

Let me tell you Scott after I installed it my brother and I went out to "test" the mod. We were doing 40 mph and I floored it. I started to spin the rear wheels!!!!! We both looked at each other and said what the hell was that?? I did it again, and once again the rear wheels spun. So it does make a big difference with the supercharger. Alot of fun for $116.00.

Happy New Year!!

ROB

Where can one purchase the Downs Ford air box/filter set up? I'm getting a bit tired of waiting for answers from Sal, and his shipping time seems slightly long.

Heys guys, Just getting home, long day at the restaurant.

Rob,Glad to hear that you have the Downs Intake on. What A differece Huh..... Rob`s got it right guys. The difference that my SVT had with the Intake System was drastic. My SVT also is making close to 13 lbs. of boost with the Downs System. It`s such a simple design yet so effective.

Rob, Have a good New Year. I`ll be in touch.

Burninout101, BADASSSVT, You guys really need to pick this up, well worth it

I read somewhere along these boards that Ford did some quote "destructive testing" and rumor has it that the 5.4L (for Lightning) held up to 20 lbs of boost! The rest of the drivetrain couyld not, however...

BADASSSVT, It would be possible to see 15-16 lbs. of boost with the Airintake,Pulley combo. My opinion it would work, but I know there`s others that would disagree with me.But like the saying goes opinions are like *******s,everyone has one!!
Considering the few mods that I have done,Once I drop in the new pulley I know for a fact this SVT will be running MID 12`S Easily How`s that for a tow vehichle.

Burnin101, There is the ACT(Air Charge Temp)sensor that you have to relocate to the new air system. Very simple design, Very easy installation.

i guess at 13.064 you would be running 12s. that is unheard of. what i think is great, you dont have nitrous ,just chip and bolt ons under$1000.00 that is unbelievable. i said before i would be happy with13.49 but now i want 12s. but i wont take apart my s/c i will stick to the air intake, headers and chip and maybe it will work.honestley, i heard the factory muffler was good. did the flomaster make a difference?

BADASS, I think the reason for such awesome performance from my SVT was the addition of the D.R.`s, And knowing your way at the tree doesn`t hurt either
