That it gets shipped safely....

 

There is an implied warranty that the engine will at least work. If there is negligence in assembly or quality of parts, the customer could sue for restitution. This is usually where the he said/she said comes in to play between the engine builder and installer. This is one of the reasons to have your engine built, installed, and tuned by the same shop.
