Rotors: Rotor design is where KOBELCO has the advantage. KOBELCO designs and manufactures rotors for oil-free and oil-flooded screw type compressors everyday. The equipment available is state-of-the-art. The special tooling and cutters needed for their production is also produced in-house. This allows KOBELCO to introduce technology used in the manufacturing of high-speed screw compressors into the roots Supercharger. Examples of this are in tighter rotor clearances without interference and improved profile designs. Both of which improve the supercharger's performance. KOBELCO also holds a patent on the center shaft that allows for thermal expansion while distributing the axial loads. This shaft design also controls rotor deflection, which increases supercharger efficiency and longevity.
But the hell with all of you, I'm going electric

and if my leaf blower ever breaks, I can use it to fluff up my bags

If JDM can figure out a way to offer the Whipple, WOO HOO is all I can say...
GO JDM GO ....

Now maybe I am asking a dumb question, but was the KB Dyno the same day? If not what was the condition of the day, was there any cooling off, was there back-up runs, was it set to STD SAE? I can dyno my truck in NOV. and then dyno it in April and get 26 hp difference.
Now if you are talking compring 18(whipple) to KB 23 then congrats on the gain, I must have misunderstood. Please clarify info.
Thanks!

First off.. Thanks Spanky for the use of the blower.
Secondly all we were trying to accomplish was some #s for the whipple blower.Nothing more
If you guys want back to back tests then call JDM and give them your credit card # and pay for the labor and dyno. I'm not.
THIS DOES NOT BENEFIT ME IN THE LEAST!!!!
I have to pay Spanky for shipping ($150)...JDM for labor, tuning ,etc....and all for about 1 months use were I have to take it off and send it back to Spanky.
I am not complaining as I am the one that asked Spanky for the use.
I am happy with the KB and it has treated me well (first one did lock up, but KB stepped up..No questions asked and replaced it with the one I have been using for a while now) with many 10 second passes and a few FFW and NMRA wins.
So take this post for whatever its worth. (for some nothing for others plenty).
I do thank JDM for a giving the L community some #s and I cannot wait to make a pass at JDM day.
Now if this was a post about my 4-valve then....
