anyone using these shackles...

Is there anyone using these shackles. They are the cheapest ive found. They are belltech 2" drop shackles. Do they really give you 2" of drop?

I use the bell-tech shackles. I don't beleive that it is a true 2" drop, but it does make a difference in the appearance of the truck. I think the drop is more around an 1". I still like the look, even though i didn't get what i wanted, exactly.

It was def the best 30.00 I spent on the truck since I got it

And Ya, my truck sits pretty good considering my suspension is 100% stock,
"other than the shackles"

Since the axle is about half way back on the full length of the spring, you end up with a drop of approximately (+/-) 1/2 of the additional length of the shackle at the tire. At the end of the rear bumper you should have slightly more than a 2 inch drop. A 2 inch longer shackle gives about a 1 inch drop. A 3 inch longer shackel a 1-1/2 inch drop.

Is the 2" enough to drop the rear to make it even? Would the 3" be too much with the stock front?

Rob? Did the 2" even it out perfectly, or would a 3" be a little better?

I'm looking at a 2" or 3" as well.

I have an 03L so it took the 3 inch shackles to get the rear about even with the front. With an earlier truck I wouldn't be surprised if the 2 inch shackles get it about level but I can't be sure.

correct

I have a 02, and the 2" worked perfect
however I would imagine the 3" would be even better

I was looking for the truck to look almost level. Since I had installed 1"lowering springs up front, the rear 2 " shackle didn't quite cut it. It still looks good, and am happy with the results. It also sucks that the guy before me had already installed 2 " lowering shackles, and I had no idea about it.

This is what you will get if you buy them:

They are advertised to be 2" shackles but when you get them the box says 1-3". If I get to install them this weekend I will see what drop I get on the 3" setting. I will take some before and after photos and post them so you can see how much they drop my 03.

I saw about a 1.5" drop with them on my 03'. We all know the extra leafs on the 03-04's.(still looked like a 4X4). I finally reached my desired height with fiberglass leaf's and 4" drop shackles, which are on the 3" setting.
You can remove a leaf from the rear spring's (03-04 stock spring's) if necessary to reach the desired height.

Check you tape.
With the JLP 3" I got just under 2.5" drop measured before and right after.

One thing to remeber when installing shackels. When you put them in dont tighten them till the truck is sitting on the ground. So after you put them in lower the truck and remove the jack and the jack stands you should be using and crawl back under and tighten them up.

Also go drive around and then measure.
