thanks for the info. didn't know that i had to put the truck on the ground. if it didn't say that in the directions i would have definatly F'ed it up. I will drive it around before i measure.

Same here. I did a before and after measurement on my 03' and got an inch and a half drop.

Where are you measuring - at the wheel well or at the rear bumper? Three inch shackles should result in about 1-1/2 inches drop at the wheel well and close to 2 to 2-1/2 inches at the rear bumper.

So am I. I suspect MHMCGILL is measuring at the rear bumper which would be about right. Even with a 3 inch drop shackle you won't get a full 3 inches at the rear bumper because the front suspension is fixed in heigth and acts like a fulcrum. The rear falls about 1-1/2 inches directly over the rear axle, and proportionally the rear bumper is going to drop about another 1/2 to 3/4 inch since it is further out from the front wheel fulcrum.
