Talking

$30,600 + $3,995 dealer markup + $2,775 72mos, 100,000 mile warrantee + $1,550 free oil changes, brakes, for 50,000 miles + 700 spray-in bedliner + 600? underbody spray, interior protection, clearcoat protection.

Total around $40k. Worth every penny. Went to Seatle looking for a deal on a black Lariat. Well what do you know, there just happened to be a Black Lightning there too!

Purchased just after some guy did not have quite enough credit to get it. (Must have gotten his girl a ring or something...)

Driving it to UN Las Vegas from Anchorage on the 3rd of this January.

Unhappy

Anyone have any information on dealers who are willing to sell a 2000 L? I'm in the process of buying a Silver truck (looking to order one, color is not a issue), but most of the Ford dealerships here in Texas are laughing at me. Please help!

Thanks
Walker

Walker,

How are they "laughing" at you? Do they think you're not serious about buying one? Do they believe you're not going to get any deal other than MSRP? I had several TX dealers (incl. Houston) laughing because of the latter, but I'm doing the laughing now.

Not sure if post went though. Anyone have any information about pricing. Most of the dealerships here in Texas are not very serious about selling a 2000 L. I'm in the process of looking for a "Silver" color. Any ideas?

Badasssvt, unfortunately I don't have my lightning anymore had to get rid of it because I am working construction in Boston and truck was impractical and also a lot of minor problems,But I am thinking about another one and I think by now all the kinks are out of the trucks,When I saw that price I almost went there I'll give it some more time and if its still there I may purchase. How is the red I haven't seen a red one yet.

In the Cleveland area we have several dealers that will deal on these. Bass Ford in Sheffield, Ken Hall's Williams Ford in Berea, and Mullinax Ford in Wicklife ( this is where I bought both my SVT's). If anyone would like I'd be more than happy to call and see what I could do. BTW I paid 27,895 for mine. E-mail me at r454g@eriecoast.com

barlitz, when i saw the first red one i didnt like it at all.i ONLY liked white.but now that i saw more of each color i got to really take a good look at all of them.i must say how my taste have really changed. if i had to do it all over again i would have taken red 1st white2nd black3rd. but they all look awesome.i just think (like the old ones ) the red fades the most and the bumpers discolor. but the new ones might be different. i heard that the old bumpers were made at a separate facility and then bolted on after. they all faded alot.turned kinda pink.i saw that red one at 128 not too long ago and it is perfect! even mine wasnt in the same condition as that one .it looks like it was just put together right there in front of you. i think with the price increase on y2k you would be a fool not to buy that one it looks awesome. also nice to see another new england person on the board. i thought i was all alone up here in the woods. im in seabrook n.h.( hampton beach)

Nate and any others:

Spoke with Gene Highfield at Tidwell Ford here just outside Atlanta this AM.

He has several left on allocation and is selling them at list, no discount, but no overcharge either.

I posted his phone further up in the thread.

Good Luck

Merry Christmas

Walker,

Go talk to Robert Burgett at Bay Area Ford in Webster (toward Clear Lake, south of Houston on I-45, towards Galveston). Tell him I sent you and he may not throw you out (j/k).

He was the only salesman/dlr in the Houston area who would work w/me at all. The sales experience was great and the service experience there has been phenominal, the service writer I have dealt with is David Delisio and he knows his stuff.
