Thumbs up Do I Hold The Record?

just hit 10k without a single problem or complaint with the "L". only communication with dealer was to ask where they would draw the line on mods/warrenty.

I put mine away for the winter in mid October with 11,000 miles on it, the only thing I had to have done was lubrication of the front wheel stops to eliminate the clunk on hard turns.

I haven't had any problems either. No sounds, intercooler, check engine light, etc... I have 10,200 on mine.. No winter storage, and it's my daily driver...

I purchased the premium Ford 6 year / 60,000 mile extended warranty for my Lightning for under $800 when I bought my truck. My wife works as a finance manager at a GM dealership and helped me negotiate a great price on the warranty. I usually don't buy extended warrantees, but figured the Lightning could get real expensive if I broke the engine or supercharger. I didn't know then that I could buy a complete engine with blower for $4000, which might have made me re-think the warranty. However, the point is that you and everyone else can still go back to your dealer (or even a different dealer)and purchase an extended warranty if you are concerned about the factory warranty expiring. I think you have to do this under 12 months from the date of purchase, if I remember right. The one I bought has no deductable if I return to the selling dealership, $50 otherwise. Buy only the Ford warranty, as I've heard some real horror stories about some of the aftermarket ones. Still get the 87 GT running, they are a lot of fun also.

Mine has about 15600 miles on it. The taigate latch needs adjusting. It refuses to open at times. I exchanged My factory tonneau a week or so ago. This one lays flat at the rear corners, unlike the first one.
The tires I rotated at about 12000 miles and the ones on the front now are getting thin in the center, wonder why that is...laugh.
No other problems..in fact I am surprised from the performance and quality of this one and the wrecked red one that some are having certain problems. Sal's chip and intake are planned for the near future. I'll wait for more info on the crank pulley.
Maybe some wider meat out back .....

From what I read in the owners manual, the blower is considered an emissions part and is covered under warrenty for 70000 miles. I was thinking about purchasing the extended warranty until I read that.
Thinking about buying the Lightning motor and dropping (sounds so easy) it in the 'Stang. Would be a real performer and something different.

Cool

6 months old, 10,000 miles. Only have the clunk in the front end. Daily driver and no winter storage. At this rate, warranty will be out in 18 months. Have to get my '87 GT running to use it as a daily driver.
