Talking Warranty

Hey guys,

I am still enjoying the info. In fact, I am a soon to be prond lightning owner. Hopefully by the end of the week I will have made my deposit. I cannot tell you how excited I am! I do have a question though.

Is the warranty good at all dealerships, or just at the one you purcahsed the truck at? I go back a forth from college and don't want to go all the way home just to have the truck looked at if something goes wrong.

I am looking forward to tell everyone I bought the truck, so stay tuned.

Nate

Cool

The warranty can be covered by all Ford dealers but some (especially smalltown) have the attitude that if you didn't buy it here then you can carry it to where you did. I personally wouldn't let those Bozo's touch mine.

also, if you had some work done at a partucular dealership, & need to tkae it back for the same or identical problem, you will be asked to take it to the orgianl dealership that preformed the work. In case there was a mistake on their part. Justfind a dealer that seems to be nice with lots of experience (ie the mechanic) & stick with that 1 if you establish a realtionship with a service writer they are most likely to really help you out in the long haul!

Question

I've heard that the triton engines are supposed to be those 100,000 mile engines and that the engine itself has a warranty longer than the drivetrain's overall 36K. Is this the case?
