The company (Sheepskin Experts in Van Nuys) plans to add these as a tailor made cover. They aren't cheap at $530 for both seats and console, but they are nice! Real nice people too.

I just discussed this subject with my wife. She sold top line home furniture for several years, knows fabrics, and also had sheepskins on her 911 (which she sold before we met, unfortunately).

She says skins are great, she agrees with all the positive comments about them and thinks the quoted price is very good also. (She paid more than that to cover her Porsche seats over 5 years ago.)

On the canvas covers, she said that depending on the weight and coarseness of the canvas, she would have reservations as to the amount of wear and tear they might cause to the seats themselves. She recommends, if possible, talking to someone who has used them for several months before buying. If that's not possible, she suggests checking the original seating material frequently after installation of the covers, just to make sure there is no unusual wearing of the surface caused by the covers themselves.
