Washed my L and the windshield broke!

The lack of the tint is one of the things that setst the '03's and up apart from the earlier L's.
I actually never noticed that. But it does look really good on a black truck.

My best buddy worked in an Auto Glass shop for 20 years. When I told him about this post he laughed."Impossible. The windshield, as well as the rest of the glass, is a tempered glass. It would never happen in a million years, unless the glass already had a "spider crack"that exposed the underlayment of the glass to the elements." To be honest with you guys, when I was younger, I used to pour hot water onto my frozen winshield back when I lived in N.Y. and I never had issues.I now reside in S. Florida, and I can tell you that even IF this was possible, "cold" water isn't even attainable here unless you get it from the fridge!!

My best advice, wash it with hot water next time.
