Post Track results

Well I headed to Lebanon Vally yesterday to test out the nitrous. Temperature was around 85* all evening and night. Humidity was disgusting as well. First pass I made was right off the trailer. Truck got to full temp in the lanes. Was seeing about 14 PSI on the guage. The truck hooked pretty good leaving the line fairly easy. My 60' time came up blank so I don't know what it was. Finished with a 10.8X @ a little under 124. I figured it was time for more boost. Swapped out the 3.25 upper for a 3.00 and saw around 16 PSI the next passed. All the runs were basically hot laps with no ice or fans between passes. I launched a little harder, hooked with a 1.58 60' and got another 10.8X @ a little over 124. I was a little disappointed with that but with the heat I was kind of expecting it. After that pass I realized my bottle heater had stopped working and my pressure was down. Maybe that was why it didn't go any better>??? I had to jump the pressure sensor to get the bottle pressure back up. Good bottle pressure and still a hot truck. I did my burnout for the next run and as I am pulling to the line the guy tells me: "You need to figure out a way to slow down this truck,a lot. Get out of it at the 1,000' mark or you can't run anymore." That kind of "got in my head" a little bit. So I lined up took off and hit the nitrous way to late. I left off around the 1,000' mark and coasted to an 11.3X at 92. Again my 60' came up blank. It may have been a 10.60-10.70ish run had I stayed in it. But who knows. Next run I get good bottle pressure again jumping the sensor. Hit the nitrous right from the start but spin and the truck kicked out a little. 1.7X 60' and only went an 11.2X @ a little over 121. Coming down the return road I was told I had better get a rule book and find a way to make my truck safer. So after that I put it on the trailer and headed home. All in all it was a fun day at the track. Everyone couldn't believe my times and were asking a lot of questions. I think I had the fastest vehicle there. LoL. Wish I went a little faster but any day at the track is a good day for me. Once I get to run in some cooler weather I think this thing is gonna fly. -Mat-

CONGRATS MAT,
Great ET's under those conditions
I'd give a lung right now to be able to make multi passes at any track

Thanks everyone for the kind words.
This was on a 75 shot. Over the winter I guess it will be time for some more fuel upgrades and more boost or a bigger shot. Jim said I could run my 2.75 upper but I am scared. HaHa. Ah who knows, maybe I will. I will be at Cecil in November for the SSOTN event so it should run good there. -Mat-

Thumbs down I am such an IDIOT!!!

Well I am driving home to night, I get ready to back my Avalanche up to my trailer so I can bring the Lightning to my shop tomorrow and swap wheels and tires, take the race gas out and so forth. So I think to myself, I better remember to put the chip back on the street side. But oh wait, stupid me never switched to race side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So the whole time I was at the track I was on my mild 10* street program versus my Nitrous race program. Probably down about 50RWHP or so.
I am laughing right now about it but I still wish someone was here to kick my stupid ***..............

Nice numbers, especially on your "street" tune, lol. Jim sure knows how to tune these trucks, Can't wait for him to get back from Tx and tune mine. Your truck is going to fly on the race tune and cooler weather.
