Talking 1500+ miles..NO Tickets!

Got back last night, ran Moline IL to Wichita KS and back, over 1500 miles and NO TICKETS!!! I ran in excess of 80 MPH, most of the time. I drove to Wichita on Wednesday and back on Saturday. Saw a LOT of cops in all states, but none on my tail...Yeaaa! My milage averaged 14.50 MPG for the total trip...not bad. Ran like a top, and yes Black is faster! I saw lots of Z71's, but none wanted to play..Hummmm???

I hope everyone had a nice T-day...we did.

Thumbs up

Try running 5000 miles in seven days during the One Lap of America with your car covered with racing stickers and the police alerted to you route in advance. Thank you Valentine!

I SO want to do that this year. Gonna be too expensive I think though. Do you think January would be too late to try to round up sponsors?

Wife and I dashed up to Clayton, Alabama from Orlando for Thanksgiving to visit family. About 800 miles round trip. Ran 80-85 on the superslabs. Got over 14 mpg and was pretty loaded down with furniture and a television set on the way up. Very happy with mileage and, of course, overall performance. You just gotta love this truck on a road trip!!

P.S.
I completely agree with the comment about the Valentine. Saved my rear end several times. The Smokies were out in force for the holiday weekend.
