OK, I'll be the first jerk!

How bout the Cheesegrater?

I actually do like it alot, and am considering it, but looking at the top, my first impresion was to get a fresh stick of Romano cheese!

The air filter boxes are in the process of waiting to be made, so is the air scoop. Once they start manufacturing them it won't be long at all. I'll dare to say two weeks now, and hopefully sooner.

All of the kinks have been worked out on the air box but we're waiting on one special tool that has to be made. It normally takes a two to three days to have a tool made.

The air scoop design is finalized, all that's left is for me to inspect it and give them the go-ahead and I will do that tomorrow morning. The scoop will be stainless steel with a 3" stainless pipe coming out of the top rear. The reason for using stainless is to prevent the rock chip problems that would occur with a powder coated scoop, not to mention rust.

The bracket that holds the scoop will be stainless also. The entire scoop unit will be TIG welded together and will be held in place with two bolts.

NASCAR's finest brake cooling hose (there are 3 different grades) will be used with the kit and it'll be 3" diameter, 4" proved to be impossible, but you will get a true 3" diameter inlet and hose, not like the plastic units that I see all the time that measure 2.780".

We're more than excited to see this come to the market soon!!

Thanks,

Tim @ Chickenears.com

Lets all agree that sheet metal intake boxes weren't invented for the Gen 1 or Gen 2 lightning by any of the vendors here.

PSP may have been first to market with an Airfilter kit for Gen2s and My old truck had one but it didn't have a box around it. But being first to market isn't the same as designer - Sheet metal filter boxes have been around a long time.
