Unhappy Its Over

im sorry but i simply cant afford the 14mpg. im spending 400 a month on gas its getting out of line now. i know some of you may disagree but im getting one of these. 0-60 in 5ish seconds 1/4 round 13.5 stock, 18mpg city 26mpg highway. ( after looking at evo forums it really gets round 23, the clutches can go bad quick, the paint is thin as hell, did i mention ive never drove a manual? atleast im getting it for 4000 under book.) opinions are welcome.

Wow... Lucky I only have to drive two miles to work. I still would never get rid of my L for a cramped up car or anything else (I was on a hunt for one for two years!!!). Welp... time to tell the bosses it's time for a raise ! (price of living goes up = gotta make more $)

Doesn't sound like such a 'Big Shooter' if the price of gas is getting to him.

I got a Mitsi-Something, no complaints at all.
The L's a 02 with @ 17 K on it now, the Mitsi-whatever is a 03 approaching 40K. Unfortunately I dont know which one gets worse gas milage ^@$%(@$%(@$%(@$%@($%#($%@#($%@$#($@#*@$#*(@%$(*%@$ (@$

I like the evo, and of course HP to Weight ratio is everything, but as said the size is a HUGE diff and just make sure you are happy with the room before taking the plunge. I sold my 96 Cobra because I just could not take that cramped up feeling any more, plus I think it's the worse Car I ever saw to have to get in and out of. And I'm very short, I simply could not deal with smashing my knee caps, crawling out with one hand on the floor, and feeling like I was in a coffin.

Dont know where you live but here in NY, you must also judge your vehicles interior room and comfort, WEARING YOUR WINTER JACKET TOO
And of course weight and size saves lifes in an accident too

I burned $70.00 in fuel in the L in 3 days and can totally relate. I find myself putting at least 100.00 - 130.00 per week on the CC in gas now between the two and as said they both suck on fuel. Hate to see you go Bro, but best of luck to you and I wish you Great Luck in your new Beaut

I agree especially at $400/month for gas. At least you're still going to have a fast ride. I don't blame you. I was on the verge of buying a toyota tercel as my DD, but I am holding off to see if gas prices come back down with the refineries coming back on line.

So instead of paying a little extra per month in added fuel costs, you are buying a new car that gets better gas mileage? Higher insurance, Higher car payments, etc...

I thought about getting rid of my DD (Grand Cherokee) however, financially it doesn't make sense. Especially since the GC has been paid off for some time.

I'm going to buy a gas racing scooter! I found one that goes like 50mph add some nitrous and it should get to 60 mph.
