Rob,

I know you have not tried it with boost yet so you may be having a similar problem like I had awhile back.

I "Thought" I had a tune problem. I put a older chip in and the problem went away while I was driving with No boost because I was on a low boost chip.

I had a new tune done and once I got back into boost the problem came back.

If you are smelling funny things out of your exhaust I would have your cats checked. Mine got clogged up and it was doing almost the same thing your truck is.

Leaded race gas was put into a unleaded tank at one of my tracks, thats what caused mine.

I would get rid of the cats or have a off-road pipe made for racing and a cat pipe for inspections.

Plus you can run regular cam 2 once you get rid of them...

Just something else to check... Sounds exactly like my problem....

Clogged cats = Funky Smells, No Accleration until full throttle, loud blower, and alot of heat...

If you pull off the s/c belt and drive it, does it still bog?

Obviously it will be slower across the board, but is there still a bog?

PROBLEM DEF IDENTIFIED, WOO HOO

Sal was kind enough to look it over quickly again tonight, Oh BTW I heard you guys offered him 1K to keep me locked out so he can work on yours
Good one, just for that I'm gonna use up all his time, hehehehehe
Believe me, both of us would like nothing more right now than to get past this.

AND WE ARE, or at least identified the problem and are on the road to recovery, WOO HOO......

I'm not going to try and explain something I dont know about, but the issue is Computer / Chip related. We will eventually have to re-dyno and dial it all in again, since we only have info from Monday on this setup, and some changes were made since then, but in the mean time the Doc got something in there and we up and running. YA BABY, THATS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.

I still have a slight issue since I'm back to using the only tune I have for this set up (with some changes), but it's MUCH BETTER and you can simply call it a tip in issue thats so far very easy to drive around. The important thigs is we now know where and what we have to do, re-dyno. In the mean time I'll try and burn another 30.00 in fuel tommorrow and see how it goes.

THANKS SAL, U Da Man
see ya soon hehehehehehe

EDIT
As for the Cats, again I'm a gambling man, and with only maybe 15 -1800 miles on them it's hard to imagine, (plus they've never had leaded fuel), but they were custom made for me, they're unique, and anything is possible. But for now WE KNOW we have to do this first.

Give up the details...

I put up $1000 and I said Andy would probably match it. Lisa didn't bite.

I can only explain it the way I understood it, and thats not too well,
plus Sal kept telling me to shut the fk up a sec so he could concentrate.
It was then I left the office and gave him some space, hehehehehe

All of my tunes (except the one we did Sat for this setup) were done and saved using the current software SCT had at the time. However the new program from Sat 9/3 is now using a newer version of software. Of course I wanted all my special transmission settings, shift points, etc from the old program. SOMEWHERE between the transfer of information, between the old to newer software, something changed, or did not take, or did not transfer.
I really dont give a rats *** as long as it gets me closer to running right
hehehehehehehe......

The main thing is Sal's on it, we're better today than yesterday, and hopefully perfect tommorrow.....

Mark is gonna take a hit out on you!

Don't worry, Mark - with all the time Rob is taking of Sal's, you'll have your truck back just in time to make the end of next racing season

So the thread about the magnum not performing as you expected, could be related to your PCM issue.

Also, Learn something from SHock Therapy! His Turbo thread is updated almost daily with new information, you could have done that with your build-up, from conception until now.

Since Lisa wouldn't bite, how about I put up a $1000 that says I smoke your whoohooo MP powered truck when I pick mine up in a few weeks?

Your right IM, but sometimes issues point to diff directions, and you need to ask specific questions (post) about that.

As for the Magnum #'s, and this issue, NO NOTHING TO DO WITH IT
This current issue was directly related to the first tune on the new Software period.

Sal said something to me last night, I think word for word it was something like this,
Rob I keep telling you this and I dont think you understand so I'm going to tell you again. Your truck power IS CORRECT for your Mods.

He's right too, 580 SAE TQ on a L with a pulley on it, is better than normal, and more than I expected. Now the missing 20-30 HP is another story, but that I do believe is now spring related. Remember TQ starts huge and drops off as you get up in rpm's, but HP starts low and continues to build as you get up in the rpm's, so it's the HP #'s that will be off when the springs start bounching on the Dyno in 3rd gear WOT Max Boost.

Hi Mark and Andy, anything you want me to tell your L's next time I see them,
