went to a car show in raliegh and saw what appeared to be a set of lightning wheels. upon closer examination i noticed they appeared to be a primered steel wheel.i heard the man tell an unsuspecting prospect that they came off the new lightning pickup.he said he bought them from ford on a pallet with 4 wheels on each pallet.said they could only be ordered primered and you just paint them to match your truck.the man didnt by them and when he got outside i let him look at a real wheel.need less to say he was happy he didnt buy them.dont know where those wheels came from but i just thought id pass this on as a little imfo to the members here.

 

A set of them would ge good for putting some drag tires on. Do you have a name and # of the guy.

As I see it, there is still a fly in the ointment, price notwithstanding. I am not aware of any desirable strip tires that are available in the 18" diameter. If any of you know of some, I would be glad to listen.
