Red Lightning in Carrollton
Saw a Red Lightning in Carrollton Texas yesterday at the corner of Midway and Trinity. I know you saw me, just wondering if you are on the board. Lightning was heading East on Trinity stoped at the light. I was turning West onto Trinity from the South bound lane of Midway. If your not on the board sorry to waste everyones time. Next time I'll just chase him down.

Well, Mumbly, I travel through there almost daily, but not yesterday. Truck was down at Joe's Muffler in Addison having the Flowmasters put on. Funny you should post this, as I just got back to the office, running to the NAPA store in Carrollton down on Josey to see if my K & N filter was in. It wasn't. Anyway, I passed a red 99 Lighting just like mine over on Lindburgh, east of Midway. I bet that's the guy you saw yesterday. My name is Jack Snyder and I live in Carrollton. Carrollton must be Lightning heaven. Mumbly, you left your card on my black truck a couple of weeks ago at Tony Roma's at Vista Ridge. Been meaning to contact you but my boss has kept me out of town. Mine was the second one to get to Middlekauf. I bought it in January finally got it in May. I believe the build number is 833. The dealer fixed the front end popping but haven't had any other problems. Not even a traffic ticket (yet!).
I pulled up next to a red one last night at Rosemeade and Josey but couldn't get close enough to get his attention.
I've kept up with the board for a while and had to join in when you hit so close to home.

We need to think of an excuse to get together in the next couple of weeks. It might be interesting to get with the Red Lightning and do a little photo shoot. I think I'm going to do the SCCA autocross at Pennington Field (Bedford) this Sunday. Got your chip back yet?

What are the details for it??? (How to get there and such). Maybe you should place some of these events up under the Events and Happening Thread. I will be back in DFW about noon. As for the chip I got it back yesterday. Put it in last night but really have not had time to play yet.

Hey you Lightning road warriors, the family and I are in the Dallas area just about every other weekend. It just tears me up when ever I see a Lightning blow by me on the highway. Thinking about giving my son the 1998 F-150 two year for now then purchasing me a Lightning.
Wednesday two weeks ago I know we seen at least 3 red and 1 black Lightnings with in the distance of I-30 and 35E north bound and Regal Row exit. One of the red Lightning turn in front of me at the light on Oak Lawn just down from Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital around noon. Another red Lightning was in heavy traffic on Inwood Rd approx.3-3:45pm. We were in the black F-150, tonneau lid, and chrome nerf bars.
Red seems to be the most popular color for the 1999 SVT Lightning. There everywhere.
I'll be looking for you all a few weeks for now. I'll keep you posted.
