Newbie Owner Needs help diagnosing a noise
Hi all..
I have had the truck all of about 4 weeks now so I am still new at this. Last night I was ought driving the L and I was going ~20 ish and I give her almost a WOT run up until about 50-60ish (I just pretty much gave it a quick stab). About the time I was about to lift off, I heard a noise from the engine bay like ...WISSSSSSSTTTT. The person riding with me heard it too and said it sounded like somthing slipping. The noise is hard to describe but could it have been the s/c belt slipping? I kinda doubted that it could be slipping because the truck is bone stock. I have had other WOT runs on her but that is the first time I have heard that noise.
Thanks..
ps...I dont know if it makes a difference but the road was slight uphill and it was the coolest air temp (~68)that I have had it out in so far.

take a towel, wipe down under the s/c snout, get it nice and clean,
Monitor it every so often. If there is BLACK powder on there, then your s'c belt is slipping on the s/c snout.
It's not uncommon at all.
