Check the earlier postings for info on the R/C Lightnings. Bill Murray runs a hobby shop and made a special effort to get these for us at a discount.

I have 3 of them, one done in each color. I got one from Tower Hobbies online and the other two I got from Bill. Bill's product is a bit more money, but they are far superior in quality. Much better chassis, bearings, bushings, etc. A real nice radio and servo is included.

I don't know if Bill has any more of these, you might check with him.

Well at least there on a streak, first the problem with the tonneau cover for 99 which caused my dealer to skip that option on all the trucks he ordered just to get them in.
Now the 00's shorted on starters? Guess your
dealer doesn't have much option there. However like the guys above say it just makes it that much sweeter when you get your hands on one.Patience o grasshopper,patience.....

Nathan,Sixpipes,Wyldman and me=NLOCRC mabey? Working on my Tamiya TL-01 Ligntning while I type. We may need to bring back that post for the model to the top for a day. Any mods for you guys yet? I don't get into the R/C thing much but just had to have one of these trucks. Hey Wyldman which color goes the fastest, red I bet Finally where did those mini-NOS bottles go on it?
I better stop typing now cause I don't need a red colored keyboard while painting. Hope u 00' lucky owners hear some good news soon. C ya.

All of these dates are very frustrating!!! I have been told by my dealer(Bob Tomes Ford in McKinney, TX) several times now that my 2000 could be in by Christmas!! My salesman has said that in the past with this Job #1 date, they have seen their first vehicles within 2-3 weeks. I don't know how true this is, but I would not mind this Christmas present!!

He did say that the factory will shut down for a couple of weeks for the holidays. My truck was the first 2000 Lightning ordered by this dealership because I ordered it in early July and they had only ordered 34 other 2000 trucks at that time.

Gee, I dunno, Doug. I'd be very surprised if it happens before late January - and a February or March delivery date sure wouldn't be unusual for an early Dec. Job-1. Hope that's not the case for your sake, but if history is any teacher .......
