Talking New Best Time>>>

We all went up to Cecil test and turn before the Modular shootout on friday day night. Didn't want to run the Vobra both Friday and Saturday, so I ran the truck Friday night. Great weather and a awesome track helped me get a 13.123@104.85. Going to try a few more things and try it again in 2 weeks. I'll keep ya's posted.

Hey Rick,
I know you don't seem to post here very much, but could you elaborate a bit on the "Induction package" you post in your sig.
Thanks

Since Rick seems to be busy--- I will try to explain what an IAT switchbox is. First of all, the IAT sensor is the Incoming Air Temperature sensor and senses the air temperature in the intake tract between the Maf and the throttle body. By monitoring the air temp, it tells the computer how much timing to give the engine. If you can modify the signal from the IAT sensor to read colder, it will tell the computer to give the engine more timing. There are two ways to modify the IAT signal.
First, you can remove the sensor from the intake tract and install it in a cooler location such as the wheelwell. Another way is to unplug the sensor wires and install a resistor of about 50 OHMS which fools the computer into believeing the air temp in the intake tract is about 0 degrees farenheit. This has got to be the king of cheap mods cause a resistor will cost you about a dime at Radio Shack. Both of these methods add timing to the engine and the resistor adds a constant value and completely advances the timing at any actual temperature. This can be very dangerous on a boosted or N2O'd engine, especially in hot summer temperatures. This mod works very well on N/A Cobras and Mustang GT's. I assume Rick has a selector switch of some kind where he can run off the stock IAT signal or a modified one.
Hope this helps---- Mad
