Mine didn't lean out at wot (thanks to the alcohol injection) but it had a wicked lean surge at higher load/lower rpms like climbing a hill or passing a car in overdrive fairly fast without downshifting. Then once I fixed the "Y" I found that the low speed pressure was moving from 22-28 psi constantly, not stable like it should be. I think there's an issue with the aftermarket pumps and the resistance in the aftermarket pumps or something similar. An adjustable regulator fixed it and allowed me to set the low end a bit higher, about 33 psi and no movement in pressure.

So what did you end up setting the base FP to that's working for you? Mines been so screwed up I've had it around 50 trying to make it run right.

Also, have you or did you ever try wiring a second resistor in parrellel to up the voltage to the pumps?

My base is 33 psi. Without the regulator it wandered between 22-28 psi constantly. I never tried another resistor; I remember Sal mentioning that but only when using aftermarket rails. That would bump the fuel pressure, but my pressure wouldn't even stay low and steady, it was all over the place. Like the computer couldn't keep the voltage at 7 volts or whatever it is supposed to be.

What he said

Jody, where did you buy your regulator from and is it one that mounts in the place of the old vacuum line type?

God Bless,

Suavy

I bumped mine to 33 with vacuum. I got it from http://www.exoticmuscle.com/webpage....MENU=PRICELIST

You need one for a 97-98 Corvette LS1; the later cars did not have return fuel back to the tank and the regulator won't work. I've heard of these selling on Ebay for less, but I just grabbed the first one I found in stock.

Suavy,

It's a direct replacement for ours. They are held in place by a single c-clip; remove this and pull the stock one out. Then install the new one and re-install the c-clip. Don't actually have to remove the rails or anything at all to get to it.
