Spindles vs. Control Arms

If there were no installation issues with the beltech spindles--- i know that is a lot to ask--- but, which is a better way to lower the truck between the spindles and lower A-arms. As far a ride quality, handling, turning, bump-steer, ect... Thanks

Somebody posted on here just a week or two ago about still having bump steer with the drop a-arms.

Bump steer is a function of the relationship between the tie rods and the control arms. Lowering by any method other than dropped spindles will increase bump steer. Do a search for "bump steer."

Since neither control arms nor spindles affect anything but ride height, the "ride quality" will remain essentially stock.

thanks for the reply guys. The reason I ask is that I have the western chassis lower arms and their springs, and I have had them for a couple of years. I am happy with them other than a loss in steering radius, and the fact that the sway bar endlinks do not line up. I replace the bushings on the endlinks about every six months or so. When i first learned that the beltech spindles were available I ordered a set right away and I have yet to install them. After seeing the installation problems with the spindles that others are having, I am hesitant to install them. Would you replace a perfectly good set of lower a-arms with these spindles if you had them or send them back. thanks for the help, Bill

I recently had the Belltech spindles installed and I'm very happy with them. The only negative that I've found is the slightly smaller turning radius. I can live with that. The truck rides great and handles much better than stock. Also did Eibach hangers and shackles.
