Hello all, not that I condone street racing (hey did i just say that) but there comes a time where "a man's gotta do, what a man's gotto do". Anyways we all know those people @ work that have those little honda cars that think they are fast, right? Well take an owner who has the "new" Honda civic "si", mix in a little "I think my car is fast" attitude, then add 1 Lighting owner who "knows his truck is fast" & what do u get? ........ anyone, anyone? One Lightning owner with a bug grin on his face & a little honda owner with his pride killed!! (take that u little punk) Let me explain, I am not out looking to stomp all over people & there little 4-cylndrs (no match). This guy back about 3 mos ago bought his new civic si & was taking his friends & whizzing around our parking structure slamming on the brakes, speeding up etc... just being a nuisance not to mention the possiblity of hitting another person or car, really irked me. At that time I had a mustang that would have whooped him also, but never got the chance. Well tonight was the night i put him in his place, several times. I was leaving the parking structure & saw him pulling out also, I knew if he came the same way he would race. Well it was the end of rush hour traffic & were some cars so we didnt get to go from a stop light, but we had enough space to open it up a little. after 2 sort bursts he cought up with me at a light leading onto a freeway & asked my "is that the new Lightning, I sure hope so cuz I've never seen anything pull away from me like that." I just nodded yes . Well i guess that wasnt enough for him, on the freeway he was buzzing up in traffic behind me, I could here his little engine revving around 6000-7000 rpm trying to go fast, i just laughed & took it easy in traffic. Well after about 3-4 miles it opened up so I kinda sped up to him, got right behind & floored it, I could here his little engine (that couldnt - hehe) try to take off but i was right on his a**. It was funny, had to slow down at least 3 times so I wouldnt run into him, there was an open lane next to him & I tell ya, I literally flew right by him in a cloud of dust!!! Anyways hope you all enjoyed this little story, I really enjoyed dusting the little punk, in his "I think my car is fast" car! Like i said it was really not a fair race but........ needed to knock his attitude down a few notches!

P.S. speaking of Honda (who Ford kinda owns) Imagine what the Honda enginers could do to our beloved Lightning's if they applied the same enigine tech as they did to the new S2000. Check these #'s - read in an article that for the life of me I cannot remember but it went something like this (plz dont hold 2 these #'s, I might be wrong but I dont think so)

That my folks is "the" most hp out of any engine is mass porduction!
hum lets do some checking, Lightning w/out superchrgr, 5.4 liter engine would be !*&^%$# (using chinese calculator) 648hp + sprchrgr roughly anthr 100hp or so equates to about 750 <> 775 hp. Just imagine
