HI,EVERYONE I'm old reader,new writer. Has anyone tried to manualy upshift(hold shift lever in the 1st position bring revs.up than move to 2nd). My does not up shift under full thottle,goes right into the rev.limiter(5800).In the D position it works fine,with OD on it works fine also.I just installed a TRANSGO SHIFT KIT,part#E4OD-HD2-2.I did not know if the trans.was doing the manual 1-2 upshift before I installed the kit? Yes JIGAWATT is from the movie BACK TO THE FUTURE. HEY ALL: Talked to my local svt ford today.Asked about late or no manual shift problem. They are waiting for a return call from the main trany guy at svt/sve. I will let you know if anything good comes out of it!

The trans is too slow to respond to the manual upshift in time. I'll be leaving mine in drive from now on.

I havent seen problems with manual shifting the 1-2, but 2-3 is just horrible. It bangs out the shifts for me just fine in (D) so thats where I leave it.

 

I have tried two times , both times engine hit the rev limiter . Works fine if left in D or OD. I agree with cobra , that its to slow , or computer is causing to shift late.
