Maxim article on 99(Another reason to read...)
Everyone,
In Novembers Maxim mag(With Jennifer Love Hewitt on the cover) they do a best 25 of 2000 cars, the lightning was #21. Heres what they said:
"Least Likely Muscle Car"
Key stats: 800lb payload rating;supercharged 5.4 liter, 360bHP V-8 (0-60 in 6.2 secs, 140MPH top speed).
The Lowdown: Aside from a couple of tacky decals, this redneck rocket ship is virtually indistinguishable from the workin' truck most contractors use. But the Lightnings true beauty lurks beneath its skin. The tweaked version of Americas best selling truck can haul drywall all day long and still humiliate most sportts cars after work. Gun rack optional.
Celebrity equivalent: Cooter; Can haul engine blocks and cases of moonshine while keeping up with the Duke Boys.
Maxim extra credit: Put a little hay in the flatbed for a little hee-haw action with the farmers daughter(s).
It also has a nice pic of a red one. The magazine is kinda like cosmo for men. Worse comes to worse....read it for the pictures..

nice car!!! i saw you are an original member over there. cant belive i couldnt put 2 and 2 together. you getting rid of the z to support the lightning habit??? i am still looking for a red lightning on the east coast to take place of the z i am selling. its amazing that a pickup can take the place of a sports car
