strange drivetrain problem?
strange drivetrain problem?
I'm not even sure if this is a problem. but it just seems strange...actually it seems like 2 problems. let me attempt to explain:
1st:
ever since I've added the long tube headers/catback/high flows and accufab TB the truck seems VERY sluggish off the line. almost like I lost 100+ ft-lbs of torque. after I get rolling it doesn't seem as bad--basically, I just feel like I have to give it too much gas to get it going. exhaust leak? TPS voltage off? what do yall think it could be?
2nd:
as of the end of last week (coincidentally, after a long trip with a Uhaul in tow) my truck's been acting kind of strange. if ever I let off the gas pedal at speeds of >45 mph, it will coast for about 2 seconds and then somewhat lurch forward....kinda a similar feeling as if a 40-50mph wind suddenly hit the truck head-on and remained constant. at first I thought the transmission was shifting at will, but now I'm thinking that it's more than likely the torque converter doing its thing. it just seems weird that it's doing it now, whereas it locked/unlocked more "covertly" in the past. I have a 2600 PI stall waiting to go on--should I just wait it out a couple weeks and install it as a replacement, or should I figure out what this "problem" is first? what do you guys think it is?
-Mike
P.S. sorry if yall can't understand my problem....it's kinda of hard to explain.

Did you set up the TPS when you installed the TB ?
If not I would DEF check it, and I'm told that can also play games slightly with the shifting ??? Could be your issue, Def worth a try.....

P.S. no, I just installed the TB w/out checking it out.
