black corner lenses & killer hood
In one of the pictures from the Austin Rally there is a lowered black F-150 w/ black corner lenses and a what looks like a ram - air hood.
Just wondering where you got the lenses and hood from. Are the lenses street legal? Also is the hood fiberglass? Where did you have it painted and how well does it match? How much for the parts?
Thanks,
Mike

Brimstone,
That is Mumbly's Rousch (spelling?) lowered F-150 Supercab. The hood is from American Auto Designs in Florida. It can be made to be functional, but Mumbly mentioned that it would void your warranty if it was made so. His is not, for that reason.
I'm not sure where he got the hood, but I have ordered one from Autobahn and gave $599.00 for it. It surely does make the truck look meaner, doesn't it?
I finally got confirmation that my hood went out yesterday, so I should be recieving it in the next couple of days, finally!
I'm not sure where the tinted light covers came from, but I could help with the hood, so I did.

BRIMSTONE that would be my truck. Wyldman was right about the hood and as for the Lenses they are made by GTO. You can find them at most of your local performance shops and even places like PEP Boys. You may have to get them ordered and I believe Roger from the online store here on the F150 page can get them for you as well. I have been told that anything that interfers with the front blinker is illegal. You can still see the blinker through them but it is up to the cop to get you or not. I had my hood painted by Pegasus Customs in Tulsa, they were also the ones who did my Roush Package too. I hope that this helps, if ya need more info let me know.

Had some dark front light covers on my truck and was ticketed by the Texas Highway Patrol ($78). Mumbly is right though, its just like the missing front plate in Texas, just depends who stops you. Mine were made by AVS and I bought them at Truck Accesories in Arlington. I have since cut a whole in the turn signal and headlight positions, but it kills the effect and I don' use them anymore.
Mumbly - I have a Roush lowering kit on order (Kevin) and I also ordered the same hood through Autobahn (hasn't come in yet). Sorry bout the duplication, but it is a killer look.

No worries sixpipes. I was not the first, but maybe the first to show it off. I hope that you enjoy both, and let us know how it goes.

That's the plan. The installer is due out next weekend to fix the bumper and I had planned to have him do the new hood as well.
