Question Strange Sound at WOT shifting

First, I'm a long time lurker (since May), first time poster, and I follow the list pretty much everyday. Great info here.

I notice that when I WOT, foot to the floor the truck, that at the shift, there is a strange burble sound or grunt at the shift with the pedal to the floor. This happens with my superchip in either position, and only seems to occur when I get right up to the rev limiter.

Just wanting to make sure this thing isn't slowly falling to pieces since it is my first supercharged vehicle.

Thanks in advance,

I noticed the same thing. To me it just sounds like the exhaust making noise because of the rpm drop.

I did have some detonation problems at the top of 2nd gear at WOT operations with the first rev. of SuperChip code I bought. I sent the chip back for reprogramming and it has not re-occured. 5 or 6 other people reported similar issues and got thier program changed as well. So far I haven't heard any more about it since then.

The sound resembled a valve knock or lifter rattle, and it only happened in 2nd gear around 5200 rpm.

SuperChips has been happy to correct this issue at no charge, just the inconvenience of doing w/o the chip for a few days.

My sound isn't a rattle or knocking. It maybe the exhaust from the RPM dropping like suggested above.

When I first got the superchip, I had a problem with hitting the rev limiter in 1st on WOT driving. Now, it is better and shifts great.
