Exclamation "worst possible news"

Hey everyone, I know many of you might not be interested in this but some might. As most of you are I am "a car nut" which means i receive a ton of rags (car magazines). I just like to keep up on news with all sorts of cool fast cars, trucks etc.. Well i remember reading a post a while back about a Lightning owner who had an old lady pull a plastic toy gun and point it at him..... Anyways we all know that car jackers are everywhere & we need 2 be very careful when in & around our vehicles (especially high performance vehicles like ours -read they draw attention-) well i just received my new issue of Super Street (dont laugh) anyways there was an article featured in the Sept issue of a tricked out NSX, well in this new issue Sept in the back they reported that the owner of the vehicle "was shot & killed by carjackers who then took his NSX on a joyride, hit a parked car, and abandoned the NSX, all within approximatly 15 mins." I know there is no way at all that we will be safe from these sort of things, but just wanted all of you to realize how lucky we are, & that we really need to enjoy what we have (& not just our beloved Bolts either) but watch out, always be aware of your surroundings at all times. now i will get off my little soap box & report something really cool that i saw.

In the current issue on Truck Trend there is an article about the new Harley Davidson F150 - take a look at the bed cover, can you say "AWESOME"!!!! it looks totaly trick, with the little rear spoiler & the curves built into the bed portion on top of it. Anyways I guess it will be availble from the Ford dealerships. Also wanted to note in case any of you didnt know that Ford publishes a little rag called .... well sorry cannot find it around my house but i think the name is "SVT Enthusiast" I havent called 2 see if they will send me a copy every time they print it but i sure they can, if any of u dont receive it you might want 2 call to have it mailed 2 you. if they will

People who steal, carjack, are lazy S.O.Bs who know nothin better to do than steal from hard working people. Kinda pisses me off. Pulling guns on people and stuff. In the news about a year ago there was a story of gang members going on a initiation, and they would drive around at night without lights on, and if a car would flash their highbeams at them, they would pull a u-turn and chase them down and shoot them. Makes my stomach churn just to hear about it

In "cajunland" carjackers can be shot and killed by whoever is closest to them. you can have consealed weapons in your car (as it is an extension of your home), but you need a carry permit if you get out of your car and chase them on foot to shoot them in the back (of the head). the last guy to do this was given a medal, and it hasn't happened in quite a while.

I stopped bt a Ford Dealership yesturday, asked the parts people, they didnt know anything about it, neither did one of the sales people. The sales person took my name & # and said he will try to find out some infromation about it, ya right. But I am definatly intersted in getting it, so when I do get info on it I will post all numbers for it.

Dealers <shrug>, I hope that someday we will move to the point where all I have to do is place the order on-line and only use the dealer for pre-delivery prep and warranty repair.

On the flip side, if you find one that's into the cars as much as the money then keep him/her.

Mike P. and myself are lucky, Gaylon Black Ford here in Apopka, FL has an owner who likes the SVT stuff and a service manager and service writers who are seriously into the fast stuff.

Short story to illustrate my point. I was in the dealership last Thursday, I struck up a conversation with the Service Manager about the Lightning, Cobra's and SVT in general. 10 minutes later he shows up with a '99 Lightning sales brochure. He knows I bought the truck used. He just thought the brochure would be a nice collectors item to keep with the SVT certificate that I'll get after I register with SVT as the current owner. (since the certs haven't gone out I can get the original in my name if I act fast, how's Monday sound).

Where was this? That story actually started out as an April fool's prank, there was no such gang initiation like that. Some stupid kids must've taken it seriously and acted on it. At least around here (most people don't know this) the way gang members are initiated is up the ***. Literally.

a few years ago in fla. i had a '68 mustang. i stopped on a stoplight and the idiot behind me bumped into my car. i blew it off just trying to get home from work.
next light he does the same thing, just a light tap. ok now i'm pi%$#ed i go to get out and the light turned green. i decide to just dust him so i take off.
that night on the news there is a report about how carjackers get you out of the car. guess what they bump into you. really made me think about how close i may have been to true danger.
sounds like cajonville is the place to be or maybe we should send the carjackers there so you guys could have target practice.( we'll supply the bullets) around here they would probably sue us for shooting them.
