Lightbulb FYI, Aftermarket parts in the works.

I wish I could have joined you all this last weekend, but Arizona is a long way from Milan. I did go to the 'Fords at Firebird' weekend which was a National Mustang Racers Association (NMRA) event. There was one red Lightning there and I had a good visit with him. I thought I would pass along what I saw in the way of other aftermarket goodies in the works. The Lightning had a prototype Airaid cold air induction box installed. He said he thought Airaid would have it available in the next month or so. No price was mentioned. Also stopped by the Bassani exhaust booth http://www.bassani.com, and they said they are in the final stages of the 99 Lightning package. Full header and exhaust system would come in at approximately $1500. It would be all stainless steel, 2½-inch tubing, x-pipe, twin mufflers, and 3½ stainless steel tips. They also thought they would have it available in about a month or two. Have a great day!

Dear JoeLightning,

Just thought I'd ask, has there been any more word on this Airaid unit for the Lightning, or do you know?

Mike and Roger,

I saw AIRAID at the Tuckin' Nationals on Sunday (10-17). The booth tender said it should be ready in 3 weeks. When I asked how much he paused. So I said "less than what" His reply was "less than $300". I sure am glad I have Sal's kit on order .

Also stoped by the Bassani booth and their update was the system will be available on Oct 28th @ $1950 + delivery/instalation.

I live in Phx, & I also talked to that guy with the red Bolt & the NMRA event a few weeks ago. He said to look on the net under AIRAID to get info on it, well no such luck I guess its too new. Well I guess that it is sold through Evergreen Performance which is based close to my house here. I will give them a call today to see if they have any info I can pass onto you.
