Whip,
it was great seeing you again. I could hear that truck gaining on me. that blower screams. I look forward to seeing you at Etown in OCT.

tallimeca; I checked my time slips and that video of me and whip is the one I am looking for, if you can't host it. Please send it to me at this email.
thanks

[QUOTE=Fast03BoltDSG]once again hate to burst your bubble.......

my truck is a daily driver. Full weight minus a hitch. Lowering springs. 17 degrees max timing. It is not uncommon to see 25+ sheets of CDX in it. But i guess it dosnt compare to going camping! You obviously were not at FFW last year or you wouldnt have made that humidity comment. All i'm trying to say is the MP is doing jack for you. But dont tell JDM or any of the other vendors that sell them Good luck with a JDM toon [/QUOTE

DONT HATE THE PLAYERS - HATE THE GAME

HOW ABOUT YOU JUST LET THE GUY ENJOY HIS NEW SET UP WITHOUT TURNING A POST INTO A BASHING SESSION ????

Good times for an off day Whip. All MP trucks are not dogs. The fall season will open up some eyes for sure.
Someone please tell me how a blower with the same pulley ratio making 3#s of additional boost at lower outlet temps does not have the potential for better performance.

wow

I went 12.29 backed with a 12.301 on a 6lb lower, eaton, mid-pipes, air kit, and e-fan on a predator email tune. Slicks of course.
So why do you think you are "bursting his bubble" ??? It's not like he is saying his truck is the new fastest on the planet, he is simplying stating that his truck has seen a vast improvement and you come on here and squack about how fast your truck is and no one cares.

Whip said right out that it was on a conservative tune. Jim could have juiced the tune and put him in the 11's with the risk that he might run lean on the top end when he ran out of pump which Jim and Whip both did NOT want to do.

Jesus, god forbid anyone just shut the **** up on here and let someone enjoy a little glory for once without come jack *** coming along and pissing all over it.

If *******s could fly, this place would be a fricken airport!!!!

God Job again Aaron. The people who are your friends really know what the deal is so don't worry about it. You don't have to answer or prove anything to anyone.

I think if we threw my slicks on there you could get those 60's into the 1.6x which would put you closer to that 11. Like I said, the second or third sat in Sept there is an open test session and NED if you wanna head up.

A "stock" MP pulley is 2.7". So the pulley ratio changes. The 2lb extra boost I seen swapping the MP on could be directly related to the smaller upper vs the ported eaton.

Ya, I'm pretty happy with where the truck is right now. I think I'm going to do the pumps, and take it down for a nice dyno tune for three programs, buy a set of slicks, and be content with it for now. And don't worry, that clown doesn't bother me. He is either under a different name, or will have traded his Lightning for a Ford Explorer within a year or two. Funny how every single Lightning person I talked to at the track was great people, its not till these azz clowns get behind the keyboard that they get tough.

Back on topic....thanks for all the positive words guys! I Love this truck!

whip, congrats on the times, i now have more comfort on what I am looking for for times and dyno numbers.

I am very interested in how close you guys are running to max out the stock pumps. I have a very similiar setup, 03- MP blower, 2.7"(2lb) upper 9" (6lb) lower, kooks long tubes/high flows cats, SD 60lb injectors, MAfia, 14" metco filter, predator, with custom tune on 93 octane by RWTD on the way.

I am worried that it will run lean with this current setup, did you find that you were running out of pump at high rpms? or what was the symptoms(ie higher af's at high rpm/load/gear) that were happening on the dyno that caused you to back off the tune?

any info would be nice, i think I will definately need pumps to be safe to run this setup that I am currently on. I just would like more info on similiar setups.

thanks, andy

My MP is back on track now with my new tune, and has allowed me to put the smack down on a few lightly modded Z-06's in 98 degree Houston weather. It's the ultimate roots blower for our application, and the price point is excellent too!

The SOUND alone makes it worth having, not a blower for the faint of heart!
