Post high pitched noise/bad day

Hey guys,
I just installed a Power Surge cone filter Friday night, and on my first few short runs around the block it sounded great.

The next morning, on my way to the track, I ended up racing an AMG Mercedes down the freeway for a good number of miles. He definitely kept my foot on the gas, but I passed him once we hit above 120 mph. After I exited the freeway, I noticed a very high pitched sound, coming from what sounds like the cone filter, although it's very sensitive to the gas pedal too. Keep in mind I know that the blower is louder with the new filter, this is a different sound though. It doesn't come on at full throttle, I can only hear it past 60 mph, at maybe 40% throttle. As soon as I press harder or let off, the sound goes away. It's almost like a whistling sound, but can be irritating. Anybody else experience this?

As far as peformance, truck is breathing very well. My 1/4 mile ETs were horrible though, 14.5 was my best, tires could not hook on with decent acceleration the hold day. How well do those traction bars really work?

Mike
