disapointed day at dyno

just returned from getting my truck dynoed and what a disapointment. ever since i installed ported blower i have been see lost of boost. for the past month i have be playing with everything. dynoed 392 and 448 torque and max boost of 11. what the $&@@$%&*. my mods are 4lb lower, cai, exhaust, sct tuned and recently ported blower from steigemeir. recently went to track .5 seconds slower and 4 mph slower. i think i am going back to stock blower. good thing i didn't return it for a core. what you think that it could be? i think blower.

HP is not bad at all, BUT that tq is waaaaaaay off, and the old ported eatons were kind of known for that
BUT
I've ONLY heard good things about steigemeir ports, but going back a few years many people had simular issues with ported Eatons. Since I had sold mine and wanted to try an Eaton again, I had Wes (A F-150 Bro) do me a personal favor and port one for me. With an 8lb lower I put down over 440 RWHP SAE, but the real amazing part was putting down 580 ft lbs of tq SAE (and thats my 24/7 daily street program) As for boost, man mine is insane, and it's the 2nd hottest summer ever recorded where I live. 15-17 lbs at any giving mil-sec with a quick stab of the pedal, 18 - 20 once WOT,
and I expect a lot more in cooler weather

Lets go on the assumtion it's NOT the Eaton, as said steigemeir is known as being the best out there, ANY OTHER CHANGES OR ISSUES ???
I believe you posted about the lose of boost before right ? You've checked your lines, hoses, plugs, correct Vac routing, etc.....

Any chance it's the Boost actuator ? could be bad, could be not adjusted right, I think I mentioned the way I was told to adjust mine, loosen the bolts and hold it ALL THE WAY DOWN, (yes preload it), have you tried that ???

EDIT
You should be seeing 12-15 lbs of boost easy with that set up
AND BOOST is where all the TQ comes from

hey thanks rob for getting back to me, yeas i have been playing with the actuator, i have pressed it all the way, arm all the way up and still nothing. how do i know if it is bad or not working correctly? when i had my stock blower on i didn't have any trouble with boost. do you think that the aculator is not properly closing the butterfly valve in the blower and thats why i am not seeing full boost. the blower i got off steg. was a core and it not my stock blower, i still have that one. maybe it's a bad supercharger. i dunno what to do. i called steg. and they said that it would be the heat killing me but it was a nice 80 degree day and no humidty. i'll call them and maybe put stock blower back on or who knows maybe a kenne bell.

Mick,

I see your in Philly
JLP is in PA, JJ in Maryland I think, both should be in your reach.
At this point your best move would be for someone like that to look at it
JUST TO MAKE SURE your not overlooking something.

Does your port look something like the one on the right ???

You can always bring another blower to the dyno... Dyno your truck in current form, then swap blowers (only takes 30 mins - I've done it 254563635 times). Redyno again with the stock blower.

If you're reusing the actuator, just be sure BEFORE installing it, that it is fully closed. You can adjust it prior to the install.

If all fails, contact Stiegemeier. I have not seen one of his blowers lose power without some other issue going on...

I guess the possibility is there they screwed it up.
Hard to believe but like my issue at some point you HAVE TO
start eliminating things to find the problem.
As said the SC is a fairly easy swap, I guess you have no choice
Sorry to hear it, but hey I got to pull mine this week to do Injectors
AND WHAT THE HELL A NEW SET OF PLUGS TOO, hehehehehe
SO why not you too
