Exhaust upgrade question of the day?
Hello everyone, I just got a Black 01 Lightning (535 of 6381).
The question I have for all you experts (you all that have been there and done that) what is the best way to go about doing the exhaust upgrade?
I was thinking of putting Borla Stainless Steel Cat-Back Systems or MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust Kits which the Borla would look nicer for dressing it up all around but what about the performance.
On the other hand I was thinking of going Bassani headers/High flow cats/and Cat back system or with someone else.
Right now I am looking at $2100 full exhaust, pulley and dyno tuned.
Anyone have some recommendations or am I on the right track???
Would like to stick with the Borla Cat back, pulley and dyno tuning, maybe even the high flow cats that would save me around $500…
HELP

You might want to wait on the exhaust unless you're wanting louder sound. The stock exhaust is fine for basic mods. You'll see little power gains from cat-back or even headers until you get deeper into the mod fever.

Will I heart my engine if I do Cats and back? Oh and I am trying to find out what has already been done to this L.
