u can try able ford in oceanside, i brought my last L to them a few times they are ok. If you go over to SVTsnake.com and PM Slow 5.0 , he is a service writer there and will take care of you. He hooked me up with a discount on the Harley grill and he is a car enthusiast so will try his best to watch over your truck.

My schitt aint (nor will) EVER be touched by a Dealer
I dont care if they have a recall for the doors falling off, or the motor falling out, aint no dealership touching my schitt, ESPECIALLY when they ARE NOT responsible for any damage occured while in their possesion.
I'm sorry but there are just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many horror stories

Talking about Doors falling off, Did I ever tell you the story of when I fell out of a truck going around a corner
It was a big ole Box Truck I was driving, the drivers side door opened when I swung the turn, I fell out and managed to grab onto the steering wheel.
Only problem was the steerling wheel was still turned
So there we went, (me with my legs dragging against the ground) continuing the turn, ramming the curb, blowing out both front tires, and WAM, into a sign. (at least something stopped us), hehehehehe.....

Bro I would ONLY bring it to a SVT Dealership so that narrows it down to 3,
Bayshore, Centereach, or Sayville. Dont know Bayshore.
Centereach (McCarville) was always my only possible choice, and I did let them do the tranny in my 96 Cobra, FOR FREE OF COURSE : o )
But something of interest to you is Sayville's Service department is open 24 hours a day and they work all night long. I was giving a tour of the Service Department when I bought the Lightning and was quite impressed at the time.

EDIT
It MAY NOT be 24 hours anymore, I just clicked the link and found the hours of operation

http://flm.dealerconnection.com/page...d=3004&navid=4

BUT I have to wonder if they have it backwards?
Why would the Service Department close at 7PM,
But
The Parts Department be open to 12:30 AM Mon-Fri ???

Artie Mccarville is where I bought my truck from and really do not want to go all the way out there for this.

Mineola closed down after they ripped everyone off 2 to 3 years ago. Cost me a lil over $1000 for a new gas tankfor a bronco from them. I hope the owner dies a horriable death. He also ripped my dad off to with service work or lack of it. They said they fixed something on his truck when they really did not do anything.

are you sure you need a the recall ?? I called about my 01 and they said I need no recalls. If you do need it Take it to Able ford and make sure you talk to Brian. Tell him your on SVTSnake and that Josh and Tom sent you. He'll take care of you the best he can.

Josh I know I need it I had 3 letters sent to my house about. 1. for the orignal disconnect. Which I did myself. 2nd was for the Recall it's self. 3rd was a reminder that I have not had the recall done yet.

Hey sorry about Mineola Ford . Guess things changed a great deal but back in the 70's and even the 80's they were a good performance dealer! Guess greed can screw any thing up. Artie
