I think the wing is ok, I don’t think its rice, I don’t hate it but I wouldn’t want one. It is true that it is “not” functional unless you had a bed cover. No bed cover and the wing is for dressing only.

The SRT-10 does hold the world record. It beat the Lightning by what, 8mph? $15,000/8mph = $1,875 per each 1mph.

500hp – 380hp = 120hp/$15,000 = $125 per each 1hp.

13.5 vs 13.5 = 0, $15,000/0 = $15,000

Tow vs. can’t tow.

I don’t know, call me crazy but the Lightning is the fastest “real” production truck in the world, might not be in a book, but logic and reality is what matters, not a book…

We could always pull a Dodge commercial and drag race the Lightning against the SRT-10 both towing a 5,000lb trailer and see which one wins every single time. I don’t think it would be a commercial Dodge would air…

Oh, and I love the Dodge commercial for the SRT-10 where it blows the doors off a Super cab (4 full door) F-150 truck, next thing you know Dodge will have a commercial with the Neon blowing the doors off some kid on a tricycle…

You just can’t compare a Viper outfitted with a molded truck body to a “real” performance “truck”…

Should you get a Lightning or an SRT-10 ? Your a young troll that should worry more about getting a drivers license and wearing your helmet when your on your bicycle.

What you should do is stop playing on the computer, then make sure you have all your school supplies ready because school starts up in a few weeks. You will need to pay better attention at school or you will never make it to high school judging from all the grammatical errors you made in your 5 posts.....

Yeah, I agree with 01 XLT Sport...I think that 8 mph could be made up with a wing though

I have no beef with the Dodge as it's a pretty nice looking truck, but better than the lightning---no way. Especially that big yellow bumble bee looking thing. I simply do not trust the quality of Dodge. I think in a 5 mile race against the SRT I could beat it with my Screw 4x4 because I would probably be towing it the other 4 miles. Just kiddin, my preference is the Lightning because of the quality of product.

haha

My cobra put down 594 rwhp on the "magic" jdm dyno and 560 on a local dyno.
That's funny cause my truck always got better numbers at New England Dyno then at Jim's.

Honestly, if these two truck were side by side and priced the same, i think i'd go with the extended cab auto SRT over the Lightning. You CAN tow, more room and plenty of power.

But since the prices are no where near each other and I have no intentions or replacing my trucks, i guess this has nothing to do with the price of milk anyway

I felt the same way. At first it was "SRT10, woooo". Then I sat in it, completely changed my mind.

I am much more comfortable in the SRT10 then my Lightning, and prefered the SRT's interior a little more (not the dash the though).

Even though I could afford the SRT10, I don't think it's worth the money vs what you get.

really?? I got to get over to NEDyno and get some better numbers out of the truck.
but more to the point can my srt take a lightning no it's not even that much fun to race, more of a cruser. I just like to stir the pot most people don't know all that much about them. Like price for instance they are not nearly as much money as you would think. Dealers discount the hell out of them because no one buys them. I got over 12k off sticker without even trying. Another thing the shifter the throw is about the same as the throw in my old 03 cobra. Lets keep the posts going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

edit: and lets get it right it's a MID 13 second truck.
Modded L, will not need wot to maintain. I know I don't

Jeff2001silver,

I hope you know I am just stirring back with you. I don’t hate the SRT-10 but its fun as hell to rib someone about one.

I have a friend at work with that useless Chevy SSR who paid FULL sticker of $51,000 and some change for it in 2004 (its a 2003). Now, this is one of those guys that just knows everything about every vehicle on the road.

Everything he buys is a “steal” and this one was a steal as well “because” they ONLY manufactured 500 of the SSR’S and only for 2003…

Now, to top that he swears up and down it will blow my Lightning away, as well as his other ricer car he drives. I have asked him numerous times to meet up with me at NED and I would race his SSR and ricer and would do so for $500 per race.

Told him since his SSR couldn’t tow I would tow his ricer down for him as well. Same excuse ”I would love to but my SSR and ricer have so much torque they just roost the tires off at the line” He also tried to tell me and a few others that his ricer is so fast that they told him it was a 9 second Ľ car by a simple dyno run. I can’t for the life of me remember what it is other then a Honda and it is rated for 180hp or something like that and rated at 14.3 in the Ľ mile.

It is stock, but damit that’s what the dyno operator told him…

Crap, forgot to add that the top speed of his ricer is 210mph and he has had it past that, perhaps the dyno operator told him that as well...

its all in good fun. I have never done a burn out in my srt, not sure it actually will, I think the clutch will slip before the tires will. It does attract alot of attention though (which is probably bad). 01 xlt sport what color is your truck I have probably seen you at the track before, I used to take my cobra all the time, only gone with the srt once though.

I thinks it's obvious that we have pegged him for a Troll.
That's why I called him out and asked him to post the pic.

Just some wannabe kid. Probably got a 5 yr old Neon

Dear EnglishAdam

I did already have a SRT before this post; I was just tired off all the meaning less post on the SRT10 forum, about how great the fort L is.
I did look at the L before I got my SRT and what a disappointment it was.
Sorry to tell you that about the L it is just like any other F150. I onetime had 2 F150’s Glad I saw the light at the end of the tunnel and got out.
Now I only have real trucks
