MRBBQMAN - Right on.
It is a 4 speed bike.

You need a lot of torque at the rear wheels, to move a 2 1/4 tons around.

Nothing and I mean nothing is wrong with asking questions or posting what you felt was an improvement to your truck.Thats what this excellant board is all about. If you post wrong or incorrect information it will get challenged. People spend allot of money based on what they hear here. If someone can not be mature enough to admit he/she made a mistake then they should not have posted in the first place. Everyone makes mistakes thats human.....please don't resort to calling names and dragging this board down. I think the point has been made..enough said. Happy motoring and continue to spank the competition. Jeff

Cool

HI!... Hey GP I got my 4.10's installed today. WOW what a difference! I picked up roughly 5mph in the 1/4 mile just with the gear change. I am hitting roughly 94mph in the 1/4 mile now, but will know for sure after I go to the MILAN meet on the 18th. Remmember this is without my SUPERCHIP installed. Next week I am going to send my computer in to SUPERCHIPS to have my "no start" problem fixed. Then all you guys with "99" DAKOTA R/T's, rc, sb's better watch out because Neal (the h.p freak) will be hunting you.

Awesome Neal! Thats got to be pretty movin, eh? 94mph, thats pretty quick, just need the superchip and you'll be hittin 97mph+ and you should be at 14.6 in the 1/4 right now, then even faster when you get the superchip. Do me a favor, go kick some R/t butt!

Neal, change your profile to reflect gear change.
Also don't you have problems getting the rubber to stick?
My stock truck has that problem.

HI!... Well I don't know about 14.6, but I hope I am getting close to the high 14's. 94mph is just a guesstimate, according to my speedometer.------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hey 54REGCAB, traction is not much of a problem right now because my back tires are pretty much looking like a set of slicks these days. I bet as soon as I get my SUPERCHIP installed it will be a problem.

Neal, did you recalibrate your speedo?
the 5mph increase could be just the inaccuracy of the speedo if you didn't have it recalibrated.

HI!... After the gear change, my dealer took it for a road test and told me it was out by exactly 10kph. They then hooked up a kind of hand held programmer to the back of the speedometer and typed in a special # that they got from SVT in Livonia MICHIGAN. It cost me about $70.00(can) to have it recalibrated.
