Smoke This!!!

What's up everyone. I ran my 2000 lightning at the Nopi X-Box racing series in St. Louis a couple of weekends ago. It was hot as hell!!! The track temp was around 135 to 140 degress almost all weekend. Although my track times were only a 14.1 with my completly stock lightning, I know I've done better. The highlight of the weekend (besides the bikini contest) was the burnout contest. Although I didn't win, I had one hell of a time. I think if I didn't go first in the contest and if I would have blown my tires, I might have had a chance. Although I did light my brakes on fire!! By the way...does anyone know of the damage that could make by lighting your brakes on fire. All I know is that I have true slicks now!! The pic's don't show the extent of the smoke...although they do give an idea. Basically you couldn't even see my truck most of the time!! Oh well..enjoy the pic's!!

Man, I wish I had money to blow on tires and brakes like that!
Cool to see, but glad it's not my truck!

Never ran on Tuesday nights...
The tires where shot to begin with, so I didn't use new one's...(I'm not that rich!!)
Plus my brakes are a little sqishy, but still work fine. I'll probably put new pads on them anyway.
And yes that's a cobra emblem...it was on the truck when I bought it.

Please park your truck and walk away from it. Ruining your tires and brakes on a Lightning with Cobra emblems sounds like ricer garbage to me.

Might want to change out your brake fluid after getting it that hot.
That may explain the squishhy feeling.
