Why do I keep losing IAC Motors??

I just replaced my 2nd IAC yesterday in the past 4 months. It was the 3rd I have replaced since I had the truck in 3 years. The truck starts to make this weird noise (like when you blow into the end of a bottle), a howling sound. When it first starts it just does it a little at start up and then it begins to do it when your driving. Usually you can hit the gas a little firmer and it will stop. Anyway, back to the point...What is causing this! My local Ford dealership called Ford Support and Ford told them that they have some problems on Modded Lightning's and Cobra's because more air is going through the IAC than it can handle and it goes bad. Do you guys buy this? Look at my sig for all my mods!! Thanks for any help you can give me!

Mine just started doing it about two days ago. Its my second one. I hear you can just take it off shoot it with carb cleaner, and reinstall. Might be worth a try. I don't know why it does it though?

Are you running straight water?

If so you need to put some lubricant in the water ,like antifreeze, to lubricate the pump.

Sal are you saying the IC pump doesn't need lubricant?

Just wondering cause the water pump on the motor does.

If I am wrong let me know.
