demand... Ford found out that so many of us were replacing them on a constant bases, they upped the price on 'em. They did the same thing with the head/tail lights from an '01-up Lightning. They were like $40/ea when I bought 'em... they are like $150/ea now.

Get the coil packs from a vendor... think LFP sells 'em for like $50/ea. Still not cheap, but cheaper than the $80+ from Ford.

2 yrs ago I bought 2 of them from ford for like $50, the next day i went back to buy a 3rd one and it was something like $120. I complained and they gave me the prior days price.

same with the Harley grill. I saw someone post they paid like 239 like 2 yrs ago. I just ordered on for 350 and that was after a discount from the dealer.

I spoke with them about this very issue a few months back. They are working on something for the whole modular engine family.

I suspect that it's going to be expensive though. Look at how many COP motors there are now and they still have nothing to offer as of yet? Only thing I can conclude is that they just don't have enough of a business case to bring something to market in a hurry.
