Southeastern Michigan
Saturday, Sept. 18th, at Milan Dragway. How about a Lightning get-together - the more the merrier! Would love to see as many there as possible - will miss those that can't attend! Bring cameras!

TopCat,
BadDog will play. Count me in!
As a matter of fact, 9/18 is my birthday. This will be a fun way to spend it. I hinted to the boss that a superchip would be a nice present, but she just glared at me and muttered something obscene. I think that was a maybe.
Regards,
Gordon

I will be there. Hey BadDog, my B-Day is the day before, strange. Wish I had a trailor, I would bring both of my guns to this party.

Count me in, we have a number of people already attending, listed in the "events" board, so far looks like about 10 people!
We need to make up a name for this event, it is the 1st ANNUAL something_something right????
I've never been there, is there a place to setup a BBQ? I can drag mine along...anyone?

Just for starters (I'm sure it can be improved upon):
1st Annual Milan Dragway F150online Message Board Fall Shootout
That way it isn't limited to Lightnings (AndThenSomeToo - they can be found if you look hard and want one bad enough!)

Sounds like a great event in the making. I will see everyone there. Just some general information. The part number for the new K & N filter for the Lightning is 33-2140. The folks at K & N say it is good for 2 to 4 percent horsepower increase.

Hello people,
I posted on the events board yesterday that I will be showing up for the meet at Milan on September 18th. I live in the Utica area and not real sure where the dragstrip is, but it will be fun just running the roads and turning heads until I get there. Hope to see alot of you people there. Have a good one.

Dear Topcat14,
Thanks for your phone call yesterday! I appreciate your invitation to the September 18th gathering at the Milan track. Unfortunately, there is just no way I can get up there for it, I'm sorry to say. I'd love to meet you guys, as a *lot* of Lightings are right there in Michigan!
Please do let us all know how the event turns out,and if anyone gets any good solid back-to-back runs with the Flip Chip.
We wish you Michigan Lightning owners (and everyone else, of course!) all the best,

Milan Dragway is located about 16 miles south of Ann Arbor on US-23. You take the Plank Road exit and head southeast (away from town) about 4 miles to the track. If you plan to run/race, you should enter through the ‘Pit Entrance’ along the south side. You can get a map on their website: www.milandragway.com.
They have a fairly extensive snack bar and lots of grass parking area for picnics and grills. I’m sure once we start to arrive we can stake out an area for Lightnings.
To run/race you will need to pass a minor tech inspection and sign a waiver. You must wear long pants and, if you run under 14 seconds, wear an approved helmet. The night I was there they weren’t giving the Lightnings running under 13.9 any flack on the helmet issue.
Hope to see you there.
