I like it and have actually considered it. But I live in Buford, Ga, where lifted trucks are the norm...

I can't find the owner. He doesn't drive it very often.

But I will post more pictures when I track him down.

By the way, he may need that lift down here in fort myers,fl.

I survived!

I like it, and comming from a long line of lifted trucks. it wouldnt be that hard to do. he has changed axles and added coils, used 4x4 tranny with case. harldly nothing for a good fab man... 4x4's are just like anything else you can never have enough power.. not what most people would do with a lightning but to each his own. I sure can app. the work that went into it.

Have to admit it looks like good work no matter how much it offends me. Hopefully the guy has fun with it and offroads, all that works deserves some play.

Agreed. As much as I like it and it has crossed my mind, I'd never do it. I see all the replies of "why?" and you said it, you can never have enough power. This guy probly like the looks of the L and loved the power it made, hence the reason he lifted it instead of a regular f-150.

I like reg cab / short bed 4x4's. Only two things I think are amiss is.. 1) the front bumper cover. It just looks out of place. A big brush guard would be better suited.
2) And the name "lightning" on it just ain't right. Should say mud momma or somethin..

But from a strength standpoint can you think of another SWB reg cab Ford that would be better suited as a base to build upon? Or one that would be cheaper to build up?

Yeah, because I'm sure an L like that would be TOTALLY fast.

Geez - why didn't he do that to an XLT that he bought pin-over lightning badges for???
